Covid-19 Safety

Skin Solutions Covid-19 Response & Safety Protocols

At Skin Solutions, we have always been in the business of taking care of people. That responsibility takes on a whole new meaning these days. That is why we have carefully crafted stringent COVID-19 Safety Protocols and new processes to create as safe a place as possible for self-care at our spa. The health and well-being of our staff and guests are always our priority.

Skin Solutions will be open at our normal hours beginning Monday June 15th, 2020 — 10 am to 7 pm Monday to Friday and 9 am to 6 pm on Saturdays. Our full menu of spa treatments and services will be available. Appointments can be scheduled online or by phone. Our retail area will also be open for you to stock up on your favorite products & gifts. Face masks are required — we will be wearing them too!

Prepare to be pampered at Skin Solutions (you deserve it)! We are all about keeping our amazing guests, staff, and our community well. Here is how you can help us:


Before Your Appointment

Please stay home if you have tested positive for COVID-19 or have had known close contact within anyone who has within 14 days of your appointment. Do the same if you are coughing, having trouble breathing, or have a fever of 100.4 degrees. We will happily re-schedule you for a future visit.


At The SPA

Masks: Wear a mask over your nose and mouth in all common areas (we will have them on too!). During your spa or med spa treatment, wear your mask whenever possible — with a few exceptions:

  • Facials (face-related services): Keep your mask on until your service provider asks you to remove it in the treatment room.
  • Massages: Masks are required when you are face-up, and optional (but preferred) when you are face down during your massage.

Masks are available for purchase if you happen to forget yours.

Sanitize your hands upon entry at the spa.

For the safety of all, practice social distancing in our common spaces. Only four guests will be allowed in our waiting area to ensure safe, physical spacing.

We are encouraging you to use your credit card instead of cash at check out – no signature necessary or have your own pen to sign signature

We are also sanitizing after every guest check-out.


Enhanced Safety Protocols

We have elevated our already hyper clean, safety first protocols with expert guidance from: The Ministry of Health and CDC (Center for Disease Control).


In-treatment Protocols

You are in good hands with our talented professionals — massage therapists, estheticians, nail technicians, brow technician. Here is what to expect during your treatment:

Skin Solutions staff will be wearing masks at all times. Our service providers will wear a mask + face shield for face-related services (like facials).

All service providers are required to wash their hands before and after every guest service.

All treatment rooms are sanitized between each guest service, including surface areas and handles. Extra time has been added between treatments to allow for thorough cleaning.

As always, every guest service features fresh sheets, head cradle covers, and towels.

During nail services, disposable pedicure tub lines, disposable nail files, buffers are used during all services. Nail technicians are required to wear face shields during services


Employee Protocols

The health and well-being of the Skin Solutions team is always our top priority. Our new employee policies help maximize their safety and yours.

All Skin Solutions staff have received COVID-19 specific training and certified by the Ministry of Health.

Skin Solutions is providing personal protective gear to all team members including face masks, face shields, and gloves. All employees are always required to wear a face mask (over mouth + nose).

Employees must wash their hands frequently and diligently, per CDC guidelines


Cleaning & Common Space Protocols

The standards for cleanliness and hygiene have always been industry-leading at Skin Solutions Day Spa. We’ve amped up the frequency and stringency of our cleaning protocols both in-room and in our common spaces — lobby/retail areas, waiting room, and staff areas.

All surfaces are cleaned frequently, along with the most touched objects like door handles. Our cleaning solution is medical grade and kills 99.9% of bacteria & viruses.

Hand sanitizer is available throughout the spa for guest and staff use.

All utensils are now disposable — like cups and spoons. Magazines and snacks will not be available for the time being.

We will continue to refine and fine-tune our protocols and processes as we learn more.
